The Most Disturbing Video Game Ever -- "Bioshock" -- by Jack

The basic plot of this game is your plane crashes in the middle of the Atlantic in 1960. You find a lighthouse, swim to it, 17 fathoms later you find yourself at Atlantis on crack (also known as "Rapture") and you go around either saving or harvesting "Little Sisters" or young girls.

This game is not for the faint of heart -- like my dad. Seriously, this game freaks me out.

Which part is the most disturbing: In Atlantis, on crack, harvesting little girls, or the fact that this was written by a ten year old?

Actually, the ten year old saw this game advertised, was interested in it, did some research ON HIS OWN, and decided, for himself, that it was disturbing, inappropriate, and wrong. He then took it upon himself ON HIS OWN to ask me to help him post this so as to warn others against playing it. Do not assume that said ten year old is being raised by wolves to fritter to and fro as he pleases and/or the wind blows. I SAY THEE NAY! Rather, thanks to a solid Montessori Education, advanced critical thinking skills fostered by open and honest parenting, and an inherent senses of empathy, compassion, and judgement, said ten year old is able to approach the world from a grounded point of view, make personal judgements based on information, and then feel confident enough about himself and his judgements to want to share them with others. I applaud the maturity of said ten year old and would put him in any televised debate against any so called "expert" on values and the American dream. This 10 year old would certainly eat the face of Sarah Palin -- figuratively of course(?) As John Turturo's character pleaded in the most perfect movie ever made, "Miller's Crossing", "Look into your heart" -- maybe then you will gain a broader understanding of kids who operate from a non-traditional understanding of the world (actually, there is nothing non-traditional about thinking and wanting to help others -- we used to call that being a "mench")

AND READ MORE WALT WHITMAN!

Whoops. Touched a nerve there, didn't I?

The problem with wisecracks in writing is you can't tell they're wisecracks.

I'm going to go have my typing fingers removed now...
