A most unfortunate name

Here's an MSNBC article about a genuine travesty of justice. It seems a former honor student was convicted of having sex with a minor and received the mandatory Georgia sentence of 10 years in the Big House. Unfortunately for him, the sex was of the consensual oral sort with his 15 year old girlfriend when he was 17. I'm not sure this warrants 10 years of man-rape. The convicted man and his defense team are challenging the sentence, but if they don't succeed, you'd have to call this one of the most regrettable hummers of all time.

The convicted man is Genarlow Wilson, which is sort of a tragic name on its own, but it's not the one referred to in the headline above. That honor is reserved for his defense attorney, one B.J. Bernstein.

Sometimes, I am ashamed of just how childish I am.
